Colvic Craft 1964-2002

Founded by Colin Burns and Vic Pascoe and located on the on the Blackwater Estuary, (Essex,English east coast), Colvic Craft was originally known as Ardleigh Laminated Plastics. Colvic Craft was one of the earliest and most prolific builders of moulder of GRP hulls in the UK from the 1970s to the early 1990s. The long list of models includes those sold under the Colvic name as well as those, under contract for other firms.

Colvic went into liquidation in 1999.

In 2000, the Colvic assetts were purchased by Lancer Laminating Ltd. The new owners stated that they planned to continue building boats at the same location with most of the original employees.


Lancer Laminating Limited is a dissolved private limited company incorporated on 29th August 2000 and dissolved on 6th January 2004.
