This custom built bluewater cruiser was designed by naval architect Alan Warwick and built at the renowned McMullen & Wing yard in New Zealand for a very experienced yachtsman who aimed to cruise with his wife and two childeren. Great effort was put into the design and construction to ensure absolute comfort and safety in all sea conditions, in any climate in the world. MAYA was built with five watertight bulkheads and the aluminum hull exceeds Det Nortske Veritas requirements. The interior joinery is beautifully crafted with native New Zealand tawa wood.

In 2014/2015, MAYA underwent extensive $500,000 refit with the purpose of getting the boat ready for a world cruise. Items included in the refit are: oversized Navtech rod rigging, rig pulled and inspected, house batteries, upgraded electronics, 1200 GDP watermaker, (2) Maxwell windlasses, complete service to auxiliary and generator, and much more.

Changes in the owner’s personal life are forcing the sale. The current owner purchased the MAYA in 2013 for $850,000; total investment, including the refit, is over $1.35 million. MAYA is an outstanding value at the current ask price, the Seller wants her sold ASAP. Will also consider a partial trade.
