Vulkan shipyard: your reference in the mediterranean


Vulkan Shipyard is a shipyard belonging to the Yaiza Trust Corporation, which is essentially devoted to the design and building of large aluminium yachts and to the repair and maintenance of all types of yacht.

Yaiza Trust is a corporation with 16 enterprises, home based in Valencia but with an international projection in America and Europe, with different holding companies and business interests: building industry, property promotion, yacht chartering, parkings, cinema production and exhibition, land cultivation, farming and golf resort.

At just 10 miles north from Valencia, Vulkan Shipyard occupies a surface area of 42,000 m2 within the seaport of Sagunto, and employs over 100 highly qualified professionals.



Vulkan Shipyard is equipped with the largest and most modern facilities on the Mediterranean coast:

• 42,000 m² hard standing area • 300 metres of repairing quay with a depth of 5 m. • Two covered workshops for painting yachts up to 50 metres length. • Two travelifts with an elevation capacity of 75 and 300 T and up to 10 m breadth. • The latest machinery technology for all production and engineering processes.

Yard facilities construction began on July 2006, although the project and the Valencia port permissions negotiation started in 2004, and has involved the building of a 240 m pier, 2 basins for our travel lifts (75 and 300 T), the installation of all services required for yachts among 42.000 m2 and the building of one workshop occupying 5.000 m2.

All the production processes are possible thanks to the efforts of our highly qualified group of professionals. They combine the use of the latest technologies with the craftsmen’s experience that has been gained from years devoted to the world of yachting.

The specialised services of Vulkan Shipyard include: Machining, Naval mechanics, Hydraulics, Carpentry and cabinetmaker’s, Electricity and electronics, Aluminium and stain steel welders, Painting and surfaces treatment and Naval Architects, Marine engineering and interiors design office.

Vulkan Shipyard has two differentiated business departments: the building of new high-technology yachts and the maintenance and major repair of all types of vessel.

Vulkan Shipyard is devoted for the design, the technical development, and the building of yachts and megayachts, which are custom-built in aluminium or steel. All the productive processes are possible thanks to the efforts of our highly specialized staff, which is able to combine craftsmanship with the latest cutting-edge solutions.



Vulkan Shipyard works together with the customer in the search and developing of the project that best suites to customer requirements. In that manner, the technical and commercial office of VS, pick up the customer specification, and creates the whole design (interiors, naval architecture, marine engineering and exterior styling). Also the yacht is built by us in our facilities.

We have our first contract signed for a 40 m aluminium motor yacht with the following specifications:

We are in conversations for another 40 m aluminium yacht contract.

Vulkan Shipyard has set up the first Shipbuilding School in Europe. This pioneering initiative puts its faith in highly trained human resources in the various sectors that make up yacht construction.

It represents an opportunity to strengthen the tradition of the yachting sector in the region and to encourage its industries.

The Shipbuilding School is located on the first level of the shipyard industrial building and has a separate entrance and parking facilities. It occupies a surface area of 800 m² and consists of three classrooms (with 20 places each) and three workshops.

Engineers, technicians, and professionals with experience in teaching the various specialities give courses on boilermaking, carpentry, protection, and finishing for equipment, services, and engines.
